Georgia Katopodis joined Johnson Controls Automotive in January of 2012 as a Buyer on the Metals and Mechanisms purchasing team. As a buyer, she was assigned to various plants and diligently supported their daily needs, including sourcing parts for new product launches, assisting with supplier quality issues and providing cost reductions. Georgia is committed to sourcing certified MBE suppliers and participates in supplier diversity events with the National Minority Supplier Development Council, Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council, Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and any of our customer matchmaker events.    

Georgia is currently a Commodity Manager on the Trim Purchasing Team and supports various commodities, including seat heat, ventilation, technical fabric, purchase complete, die-cut, and labels. Georgia is also an active member of JCI’s Women’s Resource Network. 

Georgia and her team have a strong commitment to community service through national and local organizations. Georgia participates in raising money for and donating time to organizations that include The United Way, American Diabetes Association, Gleaners Food Bank and Habitat for Humanity. 

Georgia graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management with an emphasis in International Business. At MSU, Georgia served as President of the International Business Organization from 2008-2010, as a senator in the Eli Broad College of Business Student Senate from 2008-2010, and was an active member in the Women in Business Students’ Association from 2007-2010.
