Jacquelyn (Jackie) Jackson is the Director, Supplier Diversity for Walbridge. Founded in 1916, Walbridge is a privately held construction firm that specializes in the Design/Build/Management and Development of large-scale federal and industry-specific projects. It also serves the commercial, municipal, educational and housing markets. Walbridge is the World Leader in building complex manufacturing facilities. Many of its relationships with its customers date back almost 100 years. Walbridge is a worldwide construction leader with office across the globe.
Jackie has worked in the construction industry for the past 27 years. She was named Director, Supplier Diversity in 2015 and has served as the Supplier Diversity Lead for Walbridge for the past 17 years. Prior to her Supplier Diversity role as Walbridge, Ms. Jackson was the Executive Assistant to the Group Vice President of Sales and Marketing as well as the Chairman and CEO at the start of her career at Walbridge.
As Director, Supplier Diversity, Jackie’s responsibility is to provide assistance for the inclusion of diverse subcontractors and suppliers for all of Walbridge. This includes but is not limited to the following: MBE, WBE, DBE, 8a, Small Business, Veteran Businesses, etc. Under Jackie’s direction, Walbridge has either met or exceeded our corporate goals each year. Walbridge has been very successful in our outreach efforts to work in concert with Minority and Women subcontractors in increasing the number of contracts awarded to Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises. Jackie’s responsibilities also include hosting and attending numerous outreaches and various tradeshows / tradefairs locally and nationally for the inclusion in our projects. She is also diversity support to Walbridge’s Chairman and CEO serves on the Board of Directors of New Detroit.
She is currently an active member of the MMSDC (Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council) and serves on the Board of Directors as well as the SEC (Signature Events Committee) Chair. She also chairs the Walbridge Project O.N.E. Module and also serves on numerous committees for MMSDC activities. She has been nominated for MMSDC Minority Business Advocate for several years.
