Robert Fisher is a 32 year veteran of the automotive industry and is responsible for North American and European customer groups globally within Takata.
Robert Fisher holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from General Motors Institute (’82) and a Masters degree in Business from Oakland University (’92). He serves on several boards including: Oakland University School of Engineering; The Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC) and Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy.
Takata is a global manufacturer of custom automotive safety systems and interior trim components with operations in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Primary products include seat belts, air bags, steering wheels, electronic sensing modules, sun visors, security shades and cut/sew seat trim. Takata is a vertically integrated company manufacturing their own fabric and propellant for airbags and molded and stamped components for seat belts. Takata Corporation is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan with U.S. headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI. Takata has 15 manufacturing locations in North America, 2 in South America, 1 in Africa, 12 in Europe and 14 in Asia.
